Dr. Ioannis Drositis was born in Athens in 1974. He graduated Vrillisia High School in 1992 and obtained his Diploma in Electrical Engineering and his PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 1997 and 2002, respectively.

During his PhD, he worked at the Computing Systems Laboratory as a teaching assistant and administration staff. He have also worked as a teaching assistant on the courses of Operating Systems, Introduction on Computers and Programming Languages.

Dr. Drositis is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Work & Research
Dr. Drositis is working on loop Parallelization Techniques and Optimizing Scheduling Algorithms (pdsg@cslab). Initially, he worked on partitioning and mapping loop algorithms onto several parallel architectures. He also worked on evaluating and comparing loop-grouping scheduling methods.

He studied the propagation wavefront of the execution of loop algorithms in comparison with some well known computational geometry algorithms for the convex hull. He is now working on optimizing scheduling of loop algorithms, using the geometrical attributes of their representation.
