I have worked in Exodus S.A. as a software engineer in the Web Solutions Department. My main responsibility was the development of web applications such as portals or internet banking systems. For this purpose, the tools I used are HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, ASP and SQL. The tool used to create these applications is a content management system created by the company, and called eCentric.
What is more, I was responsible for giving support to developers using this product, both internal (developers of the company) and external (developers of other companies who use the same tool).
For the purposes of other projects within the company, I have developed applications in Visual Basic, using MS SQL Server for database connectivity, and MS Excel for the output of the results.
What is more, I was involved in the development of Internet Banking Systems of the Company. In details, I worked for the www.easypay.gr portal, a payment site.
Finally, I have worked in the R&D department of the company for 3 moths, where I was involved in the development of a Workflow System of the company, called iPerform. For the specific project, I used Java technologies such as JSP, JavaBeans and JBoss.
Apart from pure development, I was involved in a series of activities, such as :
Responsible for training people in the Company's tools, such as eCentric, or other tools developed by me for project specific purposes.
Evaluation of other workflow systems used in the wider area, and report of this evaluation to my supervisors.
Wateron Multimedia, Athens
(2000 - 2002)
I have worked for Wateron Multimedia for more than two years, where my main responsibilities where :
Development of web portals for the program "Clean Coasts" for the greek ministry for the environment, such as www.thalassa.gr and www.thisavros.gr. Training Students, journalists and business associates in Ms Office - Internet.
Design, installation and maintenance of the company 's intranet, which was consisted of a LAN and an ISDN 128kb Internet Access. The operating system used was windows 2000 and Active Directory for file - printer - Internet permissions.
National Technical University of Athens Network Management Center
(8/2002 - 12/2002)
I worked for the NTUA 's NOC for 4 months, as a network Administrator of the Solaris - win2000 network of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Physics, NTUA, where my main responsibilities where:
- Maintenance of the school's LAN, which was a part of the NTUA's WAN.
- Maintenance of file - printer sharing within the domain.
- Maintenance of the mail delivery system, which was Unix - based and installed on the Solaris Server.
- Maintenance of the DNS system, which was Unix - based and installed on the Solaris Server.
- Responsible for fixing any network malfunctions and reporting them to the NOC.
- Responsible for the IPs of the domain.
